Resume written for nomination purposes so that it has been a stretch to use it for project appointments. As we change the resume, it will become more useful for projects.

The resume is now called World Pool Information Form. Please fill one out if you have 5years or more clean time and a willingness to serve. You must update your record with the HRP if you wish to remain in the pool.

The key asset of NA is our members. We need to learn to use ourselves to achieve the objectives of NAWS (& the fellowship)

HRP will soon move into training of people to work the new NA way.

HRP will work with Regions & Zones to develop, in cooperation with them, pool access for them.

The nomination process is pretty much as it was for the last cycle. First, the committee had the name and Region stripped from the resumes to eliminate bias. These more personal details were not added until after the initial selection of people determined to be basically qualified. Then, after this initial determination, the selected people were interviewed.

Some people dropped out after making it through the initial screen. Additional people dropped out after being interviewed. Finally, some people dropped out after the decision to recommend them for a position.

Mostly, people dropped out because the reality of the time commitments involved in the work. (World Board/HRP)

The HRP reports that the next stage in the process—the interview/resume checking stage-- was extremely demanding. They believe this task will soon become overwhelming. We will soon need to adjust the process, since the HRP people will not be able to accomplish their task as more and more people are in the pool and, therefore, available for nomination.

Regional Nominations

The HRP believes that Regions should always be able to make these. But, the process for them is different. For instance, the deadline is different. So we receive these later on and the info available is different.

HRP Resignations

Jim resigned “for personal reasons.’ We have no further info about this event.

Mike resigned. The HRP needs unity and consensus. The group was suffering from disunity. At the July meeting, tensions imploded. The resignation is a result of this situation.

As a result of this complex of causes, the HRP was given a project worker> This worker was a former HRP member. The HRP says the process worked well.

HRP Participation at WSC

HRP believes they need not be present for the full Conference. Actually, they find non participation a bit frustrating.
